In 2010, Peter Bagwell together with his two business partners, Jim Cox and Steve Derbin, decided to move in Southwest Florida hoping to start their manufacturing company. According to Bagwell, “It was a leap of faith.” They did not know what to expect.
Their experience in launching a manufacturing company called Polygon Solutions two years ago turned out to be a real success. They were amazed that a real estate and tourism-dependent economies like Fort Myers’ can become much diversified. Bagwell and his two partners did not choose Fort Myers for any business reasons. They were attracted to the weather and the water sports activities in Fort Myers. Bagwell narrated how he sold his home in Michigan in just two days.
Polygon Solutions is a company that makes special tools for other manufacturers who need to drill holes in screws so liquid or gas can pass through. It is a niche manufacturer. Although Bagwell will not disclose their financial results, he said that the company was able to double its first-year sales.
Ft Myers is indeed an excellent place to start a business or raise a family. With great weather, good quality schools, plenty of water sports activities, Fort Myers real estate is in high demand.
