Residents Of Lehigh Acres Furious Over Post Of Travel & Leisure.com

Travel & Leisure.com is one of the most popular travel website today that features different hot spots in America and other places in the world. In one of their articles, they feature some of the world's eeriest places and among them is an abandoned home in Lehigh Acres. Lehigh Acres is part of the Cape Coral-Fort Myers, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area. The travel website, posted a photo of an abandoned home in Lehigh Acres and the photo caption says that Florida's southwest is filled with half built McMansions with unkempt yard overtaken by alligators and snakes.

According to the report of fox4now.com, there are Lehigh Acres residents who were furious with the post. Cynthia Aurelio, a Lehigh Acres homeowner, says one picture enraged her. Aurelio said, "I have woods right across the street and a canal out back and there's no alligators around walking around here." Aurelio even phone in the person mentioned in the post. The person said that he is not sure why his name was even mentioned in the post. Personally, he thinks that Lehigh Acres is a beautiful place to live in and that there is no way that the Lehigh Acres is near comparison to what the travel website described.
